EOTD: Feeling Naked

It’s been a while since I’ve done an eye of the day post and even longer since I’ve used my Naked palette from Urban Decay – so I thought today could be the day and I’d kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Here’s my natural naked look and what I used to do it;

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation Shade 55 Dark Beige

The Balm Frat Boy Blush

Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light

HD Brows Kit in Foxy

Urban Decay Naked Palette Sidecar, Smog and Hustle

Paula’s Choice Illicit Lash Maximum Impact Mascara in Black

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Moray

Collection 2000 Cream Puffs in Shade 4 Angel Delight

I was aiming for something quite natural so kept the face and lips fresh. I decided the best foundation for this would be my Bourjois Healthy Mix as it gives a nice glow with a medium coverage.

The cheeks had a nice warm glow from The Balm’s Frat Boy Blush/Eye powder, I added a highlight to my cheek bone from Sleek’s Contour Kit (Still can’t get the hang of contouring, anyone want to give me a lesson?!)

The lips I wanted the ‘my lips but better’ option and find that the Cream Puffs from Collection 2000 are amazing for this purpose – today I used Angel Delight as I love that its the perfect nude on a lip and makes my lips feel really soft and velvety too!

The eyes although natural is where I wanted the drama too take place – but at a bare minimum. On the inner corner and half of my lid I used Sidecar, for the outer half and into the crease I used Smog. I blended the lines so they were nice and soft. I then applied Hustle to my outer ‘V’ of my eye to add depth and layered this a little for some drama.

My eyes were then lined with Stila’s Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Moray, I took this on the lower lash line and drew a winger liner on my top lid which I smudged out slightly for a subtler look.

After curling my lashes, I then applied 1 coat of Paula’s Choice Illicit Lash Maximum Impact Mascara, great for giving you length but not too much volume – I always find it looks more natural than say L’Oreal Lash Architect 4D which can look more for the evening type of look.

I used the medium taupe brown (Can’t remember name as haven’t got palette in front of me, Bottom left in palette) for my brows, keeping them fairly natural but filling them for some fullness and more shape.

Over all I liked the look, I umm’d over maybe popping some falsies on as I’ve not worn any for ages but decided it would look too ‘overdone’ – there’s always next time and my eyes are missing false lashes!

Have you gotten Naked recently?

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
