I never experienced the problem when I was blonde with having that ‘dull’ white substance on my hair after using Batiste. I’ll be honest I’d heard darker hair fans mention it and thought it was probably where they didn’t spray evenly or maybe too close too their heads. However as many of you know I recently coloured my hair too dark brown – in fact in some lights it looks black but I promise its brown. I soon noticed if I did spray Batiste’s dry shampoo too close too my head it could look a little ‘lighter’ where the spray had hit. Not good really when I often would use this spray to add volume too my hair too. This however is no longer a problem, for Batiste now have bought out a range of dry shampoos for the different hair colours!

There are 3 products in the Batiste Shade Range; Light and  Blonde, Medium and Brunette and Dark and Deep Brown. I was sent a Medium and a Dark to share with you my thoughts on this great idea.

As all of you know I love Batiste sprays, I love the scent too! They are Fabreeze for your hair with the added benefit of giving you volume too and refreshing your hair so you don’t have to wash it as often. I have previously review Batiste Cherry, Batiste Wild, Tropical, Classic Clean and Blush and no matter which one I use find the results spot on everytime (Batiste also made my December Favourites video too). This is a product I use almost daily, the only exception is I don’t use it on the day I wash my hair!

I love the designs of the cans as they correspond with the different colours of hair and stand out nicely on shelves in the supermarket or Boots/Superdrug.

I have not tried the Light and Blonde spray as I obviously don’t have Blonde hair anymore so can’t really comment on the ‘colour’ this one comes out.

This is the Medium to Brunette Batiste Spray Sprayed On To My Hand

The Medium to Brunette spray I have sprayed on my hand as you can see in the swatch before. Although this doesn’t show immensely well in the picture the colour of the spray is a light taupe brown. This colour I found it ‘passable’ on my hair but more suited too the Dark Blonde to Light Brown haired people out there.

This is the Dark to Deep Brown Batiste Spray Sprayed On To My Hand

The Dark to Deep Brown Spray as you can see is more of a deep taupe. I wouldn’t class the colour to be a true brown, it is more of a grey toned brown. You can see it is darker in colour to the Medium spray. This colour suited my hair far better and is the one I have continued using.

I have found that each of the sprays smells the same in the Choose Your Shade Colour Range from Batiste. Its a lovely sweet fresh smells that lingers on your hair nicely. I find the scent really refreshing and Mark always says how nice I smell (Maybe he thinks its my fragrance?) whenever I have used my Batiste Dark.

I feel the Batiste coloured range is a perfect addition too the Batiste dry shampoo range. The question I would like to know if will they be releasing a dry shampoo for red heads? If I find out the answer to this I will be sure to let you know!!

I can’t wait to see what Batiste release and do next!

Batiste can be purchased in most supermarkets and pharmacies. To see the complete range of Batiste products why not check out their webpage.

Are you a fan of Batiste Dry Shampoo?
