Now I have wanted to try this product for a while, I have enough brow pencils to sink a battle ship (Well, maybe not but could probably make an attractive smaller model of one with them) and find powders a little.. well meh. Originally buying Anastasia Beverly Hills products in the UK used to be quite hard, but Cult Beauty stock a good range as do BeautyBay, which is where I bought mine. The brow pomade comes in a variety of shades and without swatching them it can be a little hard to guess which will be right for you. I looked at each product image and thought (Or should that be hoped) that dark brown didn’t look too intense, so went with it. I was going to get medium brown at the time but it was out of stock.

The packaging of the Dipbrow pomade reminds me of a gel liner pot although a little larger. You get a really decent amount of product (4.0g or 0.14oz) in the screw top glass pot. Its really secure and looks well sealed when you screw the lid on, so unlikely to dry out.

I think we all have our own ways of doing our brows, I generally use an angled eyeliner brush as I find them slightly thinner than the eyebrow brushes. The one I use is a Liz Earle liner brush which also has a handy spooly on the other end – perfect as you have everything you need. I literally swiped the brush in the dipbrow pomade once and wipe off the excess on my hand. That is all I need for 1 eye brow (So the product really is VERY economical). I do think you have some time to work with as it does take a minute or 2 to dry and set. I apply it to my brows and then once I have the shape brush through to blend the product with my spooly. This literally takes about 15-30 seconds max on 1 brow and I personally find a lot quicker than if I use brow powders or pencils.

Where lasting power is concerned I find once dry my brows hold their colour all day. I apply my makeup at 7am every morning and do not take it off till at least 7 at night and they still look the same (Shame the rest of my makeup doesn’t!). I also find that the pomade does have a light setting action too it and have completely ditched my brow gel.

For those wondering, my brows are naturally dark ash blonde but at present I am sporting light/medium brown hair. I didn’t want something that would look ‘fake’ on my brows, it was to more give them a more natural, fuller look and help with the scaring I have on 1 brow and I get all that from this product. The dark brown shade gives me good definition without being harsh. For those wondering if they do have dark brown hair whether it would work for them I would say it definitely would. I do think the chocolate dipbrow pomade looks darker on images, so maybe that would be better suited but also looks warmer too. The dark brown is a nice ash (But not grey), slightly warm (But not orange/red) shade and is a perfect brown.

Over all, I’ve been totally blown away by the Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade and think it is worth the hype and maybe some more than that too! I don’t often rave about a hyped product as in honesty who wants to hear the same stuff over and over, but this product really has changed my brow routine and made me feel more confident about my brows (As They are really uneven due to the scar). I would recommend this product to anyone (Although obviously the shade would vary) and will continue to buy it again and again. I also think as long as it wasn’t on the water line you could use this as a gel liner (Although it is waterproof, so who knows?), I’ve not tried it but am going too soon.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade is available in a variety of shades and can be purchased from BeautyBay or Cult Beauty. It costs £15.00 for 4g or 0.14oz of product.
