I love changing my fragrance when it comes to Summer. This year I’ve been using Clinique Happy fragrance, when I also like to call ‘Summer in a Bottle’.
Fragrance is something that is truly personal and unique to the wearer. I change my fragrance with the seasons and usually wear 2-3 different ones per season, however since trying Clinique Happy perfume, I’ve worn nothing else.
Here is some information about the Clinique Happy perfume…
Created in 1998, Clinique Happy is the joyous, floral essence of a bright, sunny day. A gorgeously inviting bouquet of exotic fruits and delightful flowers, it is the perfect romantic fragrance for a warm summer evening.
The juicy opening aroma of orange, plum, bergamot and apple provides a deliciously intoxicating introduction to the fresh floral heart of lily-of-the-valley, orchid, freesia and rose. The freshness in the middle notes follows on into the light and gentle dry down of mimose, magnolia, amber and musk.

What I love about this fragrance first and foremost is the scent its self. Being someone who almost always wears a ‘sweeter’ scent, this is more bold, more fruity but also has that hint of musk that doesn’t make the fruit scent overpowering.
The notes in the fragrance are;
Top Notes: Orange, mandarin, plum, grapefruit, bergamot and apple.
Middle Notes: Lily-of-the-Valley, orchid, freesia and rose.
Base Notes: Mimose, lily, magnolia, amber and musk.
You can really pick out the citrus fruits which I love and it reminds me of Mediteranian Summers and orchards of fruits. A delicious scent which is unique, but feminine (Unlike some citrus fragrances which I feel are too masculine).
Clinique Happy really lasts well on the skin too. Applied to the pulse points, I can smell this gorgeous fragrance for hours on my skin and am often complimented while wearing it. Being a perfume, this is quite strong and literally one spray on the neck and wrists is all you will need. So the bottle will last you a good while too.
I do think Clinique should have named this ‘Summer in a Bottle’ but I’m guessing its not as catchy as ‘Happy’! Either way, this is a huge favourite for me this Summer and one I can see me wearing in many years to come!
