Top 10: Favourite Makeup Products (Things I buy again and again)

Unlike my other favourite products posts, I wanted to do this post as there’s certain products I will buy again and again, just because I love them and find they work so well. I rarely put them in my ‘Favourite Monthly’ products as I use them daily and its not something new that I’m loving if I use it all the time, is it? So, this post is dedicated to my Top 10 MAKEUP products I use regularly with just how many times I have repurchased (If I can remember)…

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (Sorry but mine look manky and you can’t see the labels at all anymore where they have worn off)

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer – I have this in light 02 and medium 03 and have repurchased both about 3-4 times at a guess. I don’t think I have ever reviewed it on my blog (Which is shocking as this is one amazing product)! I liken the coverage to that of Benefit Erase Paste, but not as ‘drying’. Although I rarely use this under my eyes (My eczema stands out like a sore thumb then), I do use it on spots and pigmentation and finds it lasts really well on my skin.  £3.99 from Superdrug and Boots.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Classic Beige
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Classic Beige

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Classic Beige – I have bought this twice now although am about to buy another one, so make it 3. When I first bought this I liked it a lot but thought it would be one of those products that I would probably only use in Summer (Due to the dewy finish). However, I have found that I love the feel of it on my skin so much and just add a bit of powder over the top to ‘dry out the dew’ so to speak. Its a great all round light/medium foundation that really works well on my dry skin. I have never had a reaction to it and even use the Wake Me Up Concealer under my eyes (Only purchased it once, so it doesn’t make this post), which looks really good too. £8.99 from Boots, Superdrug, lots of Pharmacies and some Supermarkets too.

Boots Essentials Cucumber Wipes 25s
Boots Essentials Cucumber Wipes 25s

Boots Essentials Cucumber Wipes 25s – I know, not strictly a makeup item, but I use these when applying my makeup (Or if away and don’t have all my cleansers etc). They are really good for cleaning gel liner off brushes quickly (I know random right?) and if I’m in a super rush to remove my makeup I will often whip round my face with one of these before then using a cleanser with cotton wool (I know WIPES ARE BAD, but sometimes a girl doesn’t have ages to get her makeup off). I only ever pick them up when they are on offer at 3 for £3, but they last ages and again are one of the few things to not react with my sensitive skin.

£1.50 a pack from Boots.

Barry M Gelly Nail Varnish in Lychee (GNP10)
Barry M Gelly Nail Varnish in Lychee (GNP10)

Barry M Gelly Nail Varnish in Lychee (GNP10) – I have bought 2 of these now and will buy more when it runs out. It is the perfect cream nude colour and goes with everything. I love the formulas of Barry M Gelly polishes and think for the price they are amazing.  For all my reviews of Gelly Polish Click here and if you just want the Lychee Review, then click here.

£3.99 from Boots and Superdrug.

17 Peep Show Mascara Brush
17 Peep Show Mascara

17 Peep Show Mascara – Oh my how I love this stuff! I think I’m on my third one. I used to wear it daily but now its more of a ‘I want full on lashes today’ mascara for me. It is absolutely amazing for the price – I know I’ve converted a few people onto it. I ask for a lot from my mascara, its my must have item and this one really delivers. For a cheaper brand the quality is brilliant! If you want to check out my 17 Peep Show Mascara Review, click here. Ok just checked pricing and its currently on offer at only £4.00!! I’ll be buying this Saturday again!

£6.29 (On for £4.00) available in Boots.

Sleek Makeup Contour Kit in Light
Sleek Makeup Contour Kit in Light. Again sorry this is not my image, mine is battered, hit pan and mirror is cracked (*image source*)

Sleek Makeup Contour Kit in Light – I bought 2 of these and my 2nd one is now almost dead (See above description). I will shortly be repurchasing another one which will make it my third. These last ages! I have loads of high lighter left, but admit the contour I use daily and that gets well and truly loved! It lasts on the skin, looks really good as a contour on your cheeks and is a great ‘crease’ shade if you want a matt colour (Which I usually do).

£6.49 from Superdrug or Sleek Makeup online.

Carmex Classic Lip Balm, Carmex Moisture Plus Peach Sheer Tint Lip Balm, Carmex Cherry Lip Balm
Carmex Classic Lip Balm, Carmex Moisture Plus Peach Sheer Tint Lip Balm, Carmex Cherry Lip Balm

Carmex – Now the image above shows 3 different ones, but in honesty I am as obsessed with lip balm as some people are of lipsticks. The original Carmex in the post is probably my favourite and most used, although I think I finishes the Moisture Plus the quickest! I have replaced my Original Carmex pot 3 times (I admit losing one!!) and my Moisture Plus twice.

From £2.69 at Boots.

GOSH Growth Serum
GOSH Growth Serum

Gosh Growth Serum – My first one of these was a PR sample and I loved it. I have since replaced it and will continue to do so whenever it runs out. I have always struggled getting my lashes to grow and although Rapid Lash worked for me it costs double what this does. GOSH Growth Serum keeps my lashes looking the longest they can be now and means they shed less too. I have also found it worked on a sparse area of my brows. I use this product twice a day (I don’t use the mascara now with it, just the serum) and love it! To see my reviews of this product with photos etc, click here...

Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner
Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner – This gel liner I have only bought once but it has lasted so much better than my MAC Black Trax and performs just as well too. In honesty, I would buy this again over MAC Black Trax any day (And I wear it daily!!). I love the formula, its not too wet or hard, its effortless when you draw it on. I use it with a superfine Sigma liner brush or my Angled Liz Earle Liner and Brow brush and can’t fault it in any shape or form. I also use this to tight line. It doesn’t smudge too easy and the black looks black – stupid comment but I hope you know what I mean by that compared to some black gel liners. What’s more its half the price of MAC!

£7.99 from Boots.

Rimmel Stay Matt Pressed Powder
Rimmel Stay Matt Pressed Powder

Rimmel Stay Matt Pressed Powder in Translucent – My go to powder every day when getting rid of shine has to be Rimmel’s Stay Matt Pressed Powder. I don’t actually like my skin looking matt, but have found this powder lightly applied to my forehead, nose and chin really helps with setting my makeup and and making it look fresher for longer. I have replaced this twice now and have hit pan again, so it’ll be third times a charm soon. I think this powder is great for those on a budget and it really does last well on the skin.

£3.99 at Boots.

Look out for my Favourite Hair Products post, it’ll be coming soon! Sorry my posts have been a bit sporadic but I’ve had a lot of family stuff recently going on and its meant spending my time doing other things. I am not giving up on my blog just yet don’t worry!

Lots of Love,

Mel xxxx
