Spotlight/NOTD:Nails Inc Concrete Polishes

If there’s one thing thats a must for Spring/Summer 2013 its textured nails! There’s so many variants out there, but as a nail tech I like to try and find the new and different. This is why I was so excited to see the Spring/Summer 2013 releases from Nails Inc! I will be adding some other posts about their Spring/Summer releases, but today I wanted to share with you the Concrete Collection and one of the polishes I was actually sent so you can see the effect.

Here is a little information about the Concrete Collection….

Texture is set to be a big nail trend for 2013. Nail this look with our ground breaking Concrete nail polish range. The innovative formulation creates a unique concrete style texture that will give you a bold, rugged finish.

Concrete is available in four electric colours, each packaged in a limited edition bottle with unique textured cap.

I have to say, I really like the concrete effect polishes, I have 2; Marble Arch (Tomato Red, which I will be sharing with you on a separate nail of the day post) and London Wall (A gorgeous Nude shade). The effect is extremely textured, almost rough, but also unique. Its not like any other polish I have used on either myself or a client.

One thing I will add, these polishes won’t be for everyone. Obviously if you prefer a gloss, smooth finish then I would avoid them. However, if you like a semi-matt finish, texture and to stay on top of the trends – these polishes will certainly be for you!

Nails Inc Concrete London Wall - Nude SWATCH

As promised here is the very lovely London Wall. Out of all of the polishes I think this is one of my favourites. The colour is the perfect nude shade and will suit most skin tones.

I don’t think the swatch really does the effect of the concrete any justice at all. In fact it almost gives it a ‘satin emulsion’ look in these pictures. This is quite accurate in how it looks, except the texture effect is quite heavy and doesn’t feel smooth in any way what so ever.

The varnish lasts really well on the nails too, I wear this varnish without a top coat and find it seems to stay put a few days on my nails.

I can see the concrete effect polishes being really popular as they are quite fresh in design and unique too! If you want to stand out from the crowd – then these are definitely a talking point in my books!

The Concrete Effect nail polishes from Nails Inc cost £12 each, they are available in 4 shades. You can purchase them directly from Nails Inc.
