Review: Nailease Instant Manicure

Being a nail tech means I love to try different things, especially if I can pass on my knowledge and recommendations to clients and friends. I have tried other nail adhesive/nail wrap manicures before and not had much luck with them, I found them sharp, scratchy and they didn’t last long at all on my nails.

Still, I never say never to trying things again and when asked if I would like to try the Nailease Instant Manicure wraps I was excited to see if my experience with them would be different.

The thing that instantly took me in with the Nailease wraps was they didn’t require heat. The previous wraps I’d tried did and I found them to be pretty harsh on the nails, plus they never seemed to fit right and left sharp bits on the nail edge. Another thing I liked was what came in the Nailease kit. Other kits I’ve tried just had the nail wraps, but Nailease also supplied you with a file and orange stick for helping to push back those cuticles and also push down any hard to reach areas (Like at the sides of your nails).

The Nailease kit comes with everything you will need to get gorgeous nails, its really quick too! You have 20 adhesive wraps which are easily placed on your nail. If you find you pop it on wonky or need to rearrange it, just peel it back and pop it on again. They are pretty fool proof and I managed to pop all the transfers on my nails, arrange them correctly so they fitted and filed them all within about 7 minutes (It was probably less but I had my daughters asking a thousand questions about them including could I put them on their nails, so I was slightly distracted!). Another thing I think its great is this is something you can easily do yourself! No more worrying that 1 hand will look better than the other with this manicure – its instant and looks good!

Nailease offer MANY different designs, I was astounded when I popped onto their website and saw just how many. Above is a picture of the super cute ones I was sent. They look really long but don’t worry! When you apply them to your nail and fold them over your nail, the overhang is filled off with the nail file. So as long as you don’t have talons these will fit most length nails. With 10 different sizes of each wrap and 2 of each wrap you will also be able to cater to most nail sizes too! I have really small nails in width, almost child like and struggle with my little nails being so narrow – however with these I found the smallest size was perfect for my nails and each wrap I chose fit perfectly!

To apply these Nailease wraps is really quick and simple;

Application

  1. Select the size that fits your nail
  2. Gently peel the nail wrap from the sheet
  3. Place the rounded side of the wrap at the nail base.Sticky side down ! Note: you can gently pull off and reposition the wrap without damaging the strip
  4. Firmly smooth the nail surface until wrinkle free. Note: you can gently stretch vertically and horizontally for a wrinkle free surface
  5. Fold the excess of the nail wrap under the nail. Then gently file off the excess in a downward motion.

To Make Slight Adjustments

1. Gently stretch vertically for more length

2. Gently stretch horizontally for more width

Please note: cold temperatures will cause strips to harden and lose adhesive and hot strips will become too flexible.

For best application use at room temperature

To remove: use nail polish remover

So in less than 10 minutes I had perfect nails that looked great! If I was doing nail art on a client I could never have done them this quick and to this amount of detail. I also would charge a great deal more than the £6.99 Nailease charge per pack!

On the back of the packet it suggests applying a top coat to make them last longer which is exactly what I did. I found the wraps lasted a good 4 days and considering I’d been cleaning and gardening, this is pretty amazing! If you are doing less ‘manual’ things I think you could easily get them to last nearly a week!

So, the question is, would I used Nailease Wraps again and would I recommend them to a friend or client?

Yes I would. For £6.99 and so many designs to choose from I think they are a bargain! I’d be hard pressed to achieve the amount of detail and in the same time frame without charging at least twice that amount to do it! They don’t damage your nails at all, are easy to remove and even easier to apply! I would definitely buy them and use them again!

Limited ranges are available in Sainsbury’s, Next, Tesco and Boots – although you can buy the complete range direct from Nailease! Prices start at £5.99 with some of the more elaborate nails being only £1 more!
