Review: Batiste Light and Blonde Dry Shampoo
If there is one product I can’t be without where my hair is concerned its Batiste’s Dry Shampoo. I should own shares in their company as I purchase so much of it. You see, its not just me who uses it in my household, my girls also love it for refreshing their hair before school too.
After going back to Blonde and knowing how awesome the Dark and Deep Brown Batiste Dry Shampoo (Review here) is, I had to try their Light and Blonde dry shampoo to see if I thought it was just as good! Here are my thoughts…
The packaging is eye catching and easy to pick out on a display in Boots. With so many products in the Batiste’s range I love that all of their cans are different, it makes finding the one you want easier (Unless you haven’t tried Batiste in which case, you have too much choice!).
As with the other Batiste colour range products, this spray is tinted and not the basic white of the normal dry shampoos. The swatch looks a little washed out, but the Light and Blonde spray is a pale yellow, almost a buttery cream colour. So perfect for blonde hair which is light or platinum. From the swatch on my hand you can see it dries nice and light. I also found if you are a bleached blonde and your hair may be a little yellow/brassy this product is really good for ‘toning’ it down a little! If you have regrowth coming through and are ‘in-between’ colouring treatments, this product is great for applying to the route area to ‘mask’ the regrowth!
The fragrance as with all Batiste shampoos is heavenly. Its quite sweet, definitely more floral than fruity. I just love blasting this over my hair to freshen it up and make it smell amazing. I always describe Batiste as Fabreeze for your hair, it instantly masks odours which your hair has picked up, giving it that ‘just washed’ fragrance.
For those who don’t know much about dry shampoos, they aren’t just for making your hair fresher in-between washing. In fact, I use them daily to add volume to my hair. Just a little spray at the roots and massage, then brush through is an instant root lifter. Its a natural volume which makes your hair floaty and full, a posed to a back combed volume which can look false. I love using Batiste on my children too as one of my daughters has extremely fine, fly away hair. Batiste makes her hair appear fuller and thicker in an instant.
The Batiste Dry shampoo for Light and Blonde hair is a miracle in a can. There is so many plus points for this product that it would be easier me listing what I don’t like about it – absolutely nothing. I think its amazing and it is now my favourite Batiste Dry Shampoo in the range!
Batiste Light and Blonde (And the rest of the Batiste range) can be purchased from most supermarkets and pharmacies (Including Boots and Superdrug). This 200ml Light and Blonde costs around £3.99 and is often on offer if you have a look about (At present it is part of Boots 3 for 2 across toiletries). To see Batiste’s complete range please check out their website or check them out on Facebook.
Have you tried the coloured range from Batiste yet? Is Batiste your favourite dry shampoo?
Lots of Love,
Mel xxxx
