17 Magnetized (Magnetic) Nail Polish/Varnish (Blue, Lilac and Green)

Over the weekend I’ve been playing with my magnetic nail varnishes and have to say I really love the effect. With each new colour I try it seems the effect is slightly different; sometimes more subtle or in some cases really in your face. I thought I’d share with you the swatches of 3 of the 17 collection Magnetized Nail polishes. There are currently 4 shades in the range; GunMetal, Blue, Lilac and Green. I have not bought Gun Metal as it wasn’t available when I purchased these, but as and when I get it I will swatch it as a nail of the day post.

The range of magnetic nail varnishes is still fairly new and over the next few months I think you will see more companies releasing their own and maybe with different effects. The 17 collection (like Nails Inc) have a ‘wave’ effect. It really is quite pretty and unique. My daughters saw me wearing the Blue one yesterday and both said my nails looked like ‘Metal’.

Each polish costs £5.99 and currently at Boots is still available as part of their 3 for 2 offer. So you can save a little money there too!

There’s not a massive amount I can say about these polishes; they are good quality and last well (I find this with almost all 17 nail vanishes and their Top Coat is my favourite above all brands even high end!), look great and are very reasonably priced! With all that said let’s get to the swatches (As I know that’s what you have come to see).

 17 Blue Magnetized (Magnetic) Polish

17 Lilac Magnetized (Magnetic) Polish

17 Green Magnetized (Magnetic) Polish

The polishes are really easy to use. You apply a coat of the polish to your nail (Do one at a time) and while the varnish is still wet (It must be wet), using the ‘U’ shaped rest lean this on your finger and hold the magnet over your nail. Wait around 10-15 seconds and you will see the effect coming through on your nail. Then once dry just apply a top coat. If you do want to apply two coats of the magnetic polish you can; just apply coat one and allow it to dry like you would a normal polish, then apply the second coat and while wet use the magnet like you would above. Then allow to dry and apply your top coat.

My favourite of the 17 collection has to be Green. I’m not a huge green fan but I love the jade like colour and how it looks really striking on! Blue is gorgeous too as its deep and quite vibrant. I wasn’t as keen on the lilac as it’s a little too ‘girlie’ for me, but it is still a very pretty lilac purple (I’d say its more purple than lilac). All the varnishes lasted really well on my fingers and I got quite a few comments on them too!

They aren’t available in all stores yet (I got mine from Boots.com). But if you are interested in purchasing them, I found this post (*Source*)on Facebook from 17 themselves regarding stores and availability;
